Managing Director of the Ploughling Championship Anna May McHugh confirmed that the event will take place in Leinster next year.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, she declined to confirm where exactly it will be held, but said that it would not be far from this year’s location.
Almost 280,000 people attended the event last year.
The organisers are hoping that this year's event, in Ratheniska near Portlaoise, will be just as successful.
The attendance today was 77,500, down from last year when 82,000 people visited on the first day.
There are over 1,500 trade stands on display, covering all aspects of Irish life and there has been a waiting list for exhibitors since last May.

Wonderful day at #Ploughing2015. Great to meet patron Jack Warner, exhibitor Tom Teagle and to measure the furrows. pic.twitter.com/OnkhCSf6FN
