An appeal has been issued to identify a woman whose body was recovered from the sea at Clontarf in Dublin on Tuesday.

The woman was believed to be aged in her late 60s or early 70s and was of slight build with grey hair.

She was wearing a red lightweight jumper with a floral pattern, a white vest/t-shirt, black corduroy trousers and black shoes, which had a square toe.

She also had a green, navy and red coloured leather money holder around her neck.

A green quilted jacket and blue polka dot umbrella were also found close to where the woman's body was recovered at the Bull Wall.

Gardaí have asked that anyone with information that may help in identifying the woman to contact Clontarf Garda Station on 01-6664800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
