Cocaine with an estimated street value of €378,000 has been seized by Revenue's customs officers at Dublin Airport.

The drugs were discovered when a 50-year-old man, who had arrived on a flight from Abu Dhabi, was stopped and searched yesterday.

The cocaine had been concealed in sweets.

The man, a Romanian national, was arrested and later appeared in court.

Judge Anthony Halpin remanded him in custody for a week to appear in Cloverhill Court on 14 November.
