Three men have been arrested following an alleged abduction of a man in his 20s in Athy, Co Kildare.
The incident happened at St Johns Lane, Athy shortly after noon.
The man was allegedly assaulted by three men and forced into a blue Hyundai Santa Fe.
The car then went in the direction of Dublin.
Gardaí were notified and the car was intercepted and stopped on the M9 motorway close to Ballytore.
Three men in their 20s were arrested and are being held at Newbridge, Kildare and Naas Garda Stations.
The victim was taken to Naas General Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
