The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is in Ireland for the first time in its 49-year history.

The exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum in London, opens at the chq building in Dublin tomorrow.

It features 100 images, drawn from around 43,000 entries, and depicts everything from animal behaviour to wild landscapes.

Organisers say it "captures the intrigue and beauty of our planet, giving us a glimpse of the natural world as it has never been seen before".

The exhibition is on display until 31 August.
