A leading business cloud applications company has announced that it is to double the size of its operations in Dublin, creating 200 new jobs.

Workday, which is based in California, opened its European Headquarters in Dublin in 2008, and currently employees 200 there.

The 200 new jobs announced today will be created over the next three years.

Workday employs 2,900 people around the world.

The company describes itself as "delivering human capital management, financial management, and analytics applications designed for the world's largest organisations".

This announcement brings to 400 the number of jobs that have been announced by Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the IDA during this trip to San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
