A family were terrorised at gunpoint during a burglary at their home in Co Limerick last night.
Four masked intruders, armed with handguns, entered the home in Grange, Bruff, shortly after 9pm.
The family, a husband and wife and their three young children aged four, six and nine, were locked in a bathroom by the raiders.
The family are said to be in a state of shock today but no one was seriously injured in the incident.
Property including money and other items were taken in the robbery.
The alarm was raised shortly after 10pm after a neighbour heard shouting from the bathroom window.
The scene has been technically examined today and door-to-door inquiries are under way.
Gardaí are seeking information from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the locality between 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
