An investigation is under way after a shooting incident in Drogheda, Co Louth this evening.
A man in his 30s was shot in the leg in the Moneymore estate at about 7pm.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
It is believed a number of children were playing in the general vicinity at the time of the shooting.
