The number of deaths association with influenza has increased to 10 so far this season in Ireland.
Figures provided by the HSE's Health Protection Surveillance Centre gave a breakdown of the ages of those who died from flu.
One person was between 0-4 years, another was between 5-14 years, one was aged between 15-64, while seven of the deaths were people aged over 65.
The predominant viruses are A(H3) and A(H1)pdm09 - each of which are responsible for four deaths.
