Two pedestrians have been killed in separate road accidents.
In Co Meath, a 77-year-old man was killed in a collision on Main Street, Athboy at around 6.15pm.
In Co Galway, a 65-year-old man died when he was struck by a car while crossing the road at Tully Church on the Galway to Carraroe road.
