A search for a missing hillwalker in Co Mayo has concluded for the day and will resume at first light tomorrow morning.
The 38-year-old man went walking on Mweelrea Mountain on Tuesday afternoon.
He was reported missing yesterday by his wife and a search operation was launched.
Members of the Mayo Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by their Galway counterparts, spent the day looking for the man.
The operation was complicated by high winds, which meant the Coastguard helicopter had to be stood down earlier today.
The rescue teams expect to be joined by hill-walking friends of the missing man tomorrow.
A spokesman for Mayo Mountain Rescue said he was hopeful the Coastguard helicopter could also be deployed again tomorrow because much of the terrain on the mountain is difficult to reach on foot.
