Gardaí and the PSNI have confirmed that no family members of the young woman whose body was found at Dunaff Head in Co Donegal yesterday are missing.

A major search operation was launched by the Coastguard following the discovery of the woman's body yesterday evening because of concerns that there may have been another person missing.

It was thought that the woman may have had a child with her.

However, this was not the case, and the search operation which was stood down at nightfall did not resume this morning.

Four lifeboats, a helicopter and shoreline search parties were involved in the search, which went on for about four hours in Lough Swilly.
