Gardaí investigating an armed raid on a cash-in-transit van in north Dublin yesterday have recovered a large sum of money.

A man, armed with what appears to have been an imitation firearm, made off with a cash-box containing about €40,000.

The cash was being delivered to an ATM in Clare Hall yesterday morning.

No arrests have been made.
