The second tranche of Health Service Executive inspection reports on creches and pre-schools has been published online.

The 37 reports on facilities in Limerick city and county are accessible through the website

An initial tranche of 38 reports also relating to the Limerick area was published in recent days.

The publications are part of the Government's response to last May's RTÉ Prime Time exposé of mistreatment of children in some creches in the greater Dublin area.

More HSE inspection reports on pre-schools are expected to be published later today.

The HSE has delegated the task of publishing the inspection reports to Pobal, which acts as an intermediary that administers funding on behalf of the Government and the EU mostly for community-based projects related to social inclusion.

The reports can be accessed at

Members of the public must click on "HSE Reports" near the top-centre of the page and follow the instructions provided.

Yesterday, Limerick Fianna Fáil TD Niall Collins called on Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald to ensure that the reports are made available in a transparent way.
