British comedian Jimmy Tarbuck has been arrested in connection with a historic child sex abuse investigation in Harrogate, England.
North Yorkshire police said a 73-year-old man was questioned 11 days ago in connection with an alleged incident with a young boy in the late 1970s.
The entertainer and quiz show host was released on bail pending further inquiries.
The arrest was made following information passed by Metropolitan Police officers working on Operation Yewtree to North Yorkshire Police.
In 1994, Mr Tarbuck was awarded an OBE by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II for his services to show business and charity.
Last November, he performed in The Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
