A swimmer who was taken from the water off Dalkey Island this morning has died in hospital.
The man was reported missing in Dublin Bay, and was located following a search by RNLI Lifeboats from Dún Laoghaire and the Coastguard rescue helicopter.
He was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital, where he died this afternoon.
