Police in Northern Ireland have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead outside a pizza shop in west Belfast last night.
The victim, who has been named as 26-year-old Kieran McManus, was shot while loading a pizza for delivery into his car in the Kennedy Way area at around 11pm.
Police say the lone gunman called out the victim’s name before shooting him at close range.
The father-of-one was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital but was pronounced dead there a short time later.
A short time later, a car was found burnt out in the Andersonstown area, which is close to the murder scene.
The PSNI have appealed for information and the investigation is being co-ordinated by detectives at the Antrim Road police station.
