James Reilly says report on Savita Halappanavar's death will be given to husband firstWednesday 20 March 2013 22.48
Minister for Health James Reilly has said he would have expected the Health Service Executive’s clinical review on the death of Savita Halappanavar to be ready by now.
Mr Reilly said there were issues with the draft report and various parties had a right to respond and comment.
He added that when the report is ready, it will be given to her husband, Praveen Halappanavar, first.
Mrs Halappanavar, a 31-year-old dentist from India, was 17 weeks pregnant and was miscarrying when she attended Galway University Hospital on 21 October last year complaining of back pain.
She died a week later.
