A man in his 30s has been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of security man Brian Fitzgerald in Limerick over ten years ago.
He was arrested this morning in Limerick city and is being detained in Henry Street Garda Station.
Mr Fitzgerald, a father of two boys, was head of security at the former Docs nightclub in Limerick.
He was shot a number of times outside his house at Brookhaven Walk, Mill Road, Corbally, on 29 November 2002, as he returned from work.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men have been convicted in relation to the shooting.
