Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a robbery and the abduction of an 18-year-old man from his home in Co Down.

A gang of three masked men entered the house in Bangor shortly after 10pm last night and threatened the man and his 52-year-old father.

The teenager was later taken to a house in west Belfast in a grey Renault Laguna car.

After more than four hours in captivity, he managed to escape unharmed.

Police are appealing for information and would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car in the College Square or Ainsworth Avenue areas of Belfast after 7am this morning.
