Post mortem examinations have been carried out on the bodies of three men who died in a house fire at St Ciaran's Park in Roscommon town.
Gardaí say smoke inhalation was the primary cause of death.
The three men have been named locally tonight as John Kerr, Ian Finn and Michéal Beirne.
Mr Beirne was 48-years-old, John Kerr was in his mid-twenties and Ian Finn was in his 40s.
Emergency services were called to a house at around 7.30am.
The men’s bodies were found in a front room and gardaí said there was slight evidence of fire damage in the house.
It is understood at least one of the men was not from the area.
Superintendent Tom O'Connor said that although the house was vacant it had become a "transient sort of a place" where some local men had stayed from time to time.
The house was sealed off for a forensic examination.
