Bankrupt developer Tom McFeely has been remanded on bail over a debt of more than €24,000 to a recruitment company.

Mr McFeely appeared before Dublin District Civil Court for the case involving a debt to MCR Personnel.

He was facing up to three months jail for failing to comply with repayments as part of an instalments order by the court.

A warrant was issued on a previous occasion for his arrest when he failed to appear.

MCR's counsel Benedict O'Floinn said Mr McFeely's bankruptcy had no impact in the court process.

An application was being made to vary the instalment order which MCR could not consent to but could not resist.

The court heard Mr McFeely would furnish a statement of means to the court.

Judge Michael Coughlan remanded him on bail to 16 October.
