Day two of Dublin's Tall Ships Festival saw a parade by most of the 1,800 crew members who took part in the race.

Despite the weather, thousands of people turned out to watch.

There were 41 ships involved, representing 15 different countries.

The overall winner of the last leg in the race was the Mexican naval training ship the Cuauhtemoc.

The Torbay Cup for outstanding individual achievement went to Dubliner Holly Byrne.

She was aboard the Asgard 2 went it sank in the Bay of Biscay four years ago, but conquered her fears and returned to the same sea to travel aboard the British ship the Stavros.

Hundreds of thousands of people have already visited the Tall Ships events, travelling from all over the country to get a taste of life on board.

The festival continues until Sunday.
