Gardaí have confirmed that the body found in the Avoca River is that of James Sheehan, who had been missing since Sunday morning.
Search teams and gardaí looking for the 18-year-old recovered the body from the Avoca River in the Co Wicklow town yesterday evening. It was discovered near the south quay.
A post mortem examination will be carried out at St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown.
Mr Sheehan, who was from Arklow, went missing sometime early on Sunday morning following a night out.
