Around €40,000 has been stolen in a cash-in-transit robbery in Walkinstown in Dublin.
The incident happened at a service station on the Long Mile Road at about 4.15pm.
A man armed with what is believed to be a shotgun, and wearing what gardaí describe as a "ski mask", targeted the security company employee as he was carrying the cash box from the service station to the security van.
It is the fourth armed robbery in the area in the last two days.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the raid. Gardaí say the man escaped in a large blue car, possibly an Audi.
They say a large blue car was found on fire at Walkinstown Close near where the incident happened around ten minutes later.
Both scenes have been preserved pending a garda technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward and contact them.
