Gardaí are appealing for information about a serious assault that occurred in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A woman in her 20s sustained serious facial injuries during a disturbance outside a pub at George's Quay.

The second woman is described as being slightly taller with a heavier build and had her hair tied up in a bun.

She was wearing a purple top and black cardigan.
