Two men have appeared in court in Limerick charged with the murder of a 28-year-old Brazilian man whose body was found in a bog in north Kerry last Sunday.

John Paul Cawley, 19, and 28-year-old Brazilian national Wenio Rodrigues da Silva, both with addresses at Ardoughter, Ballyduff in Co Kerry were brought before the District Court in Newcastlewest this morning.

They were charged with the murder of Bruno Limes de Sousa, between 16 February and 10 March at Shronowen bog, Tullamore, Listowel.

There was no application for bail.

Both men were granted free legal aid and were remanded in custody to appear at Kilmallock District Court on Friday.
