The British Coastguard has stood down its air and sea search for five Russian seamen missing in the Irish Sea.

Their cargo ship 'Swanland' sank in gale force winds and heavy swells off north Wales on Sunday.

Routine shore searches are to continue, but Holyhead Coastguard said it believes there is little chance the men are still alive.

Two of eight crew on board the MV Swanland were rescued by an RAF helicopter on Sunday.

The body of a third crewman was recovered by the Irish Coastguard's Waterford-based helicopter.
