Five men have appeared in Dublin District Court charged in connection with a series of robberies in Dublin, Louth and Meath.

The five were among nine people, all from Romania, arrested by gardaí at addresses on the North Circular Road in Dublin last Friday .

Three were granted bail today, but two others - a 32-year-old and a 16-year-old - were remanded in custody

Stanescu Rostas, 32, was charged with committing eight burglaries and two counts of handling stolen property.

The ten offences are alleged to have occurred in September. He was remanded in custody.

Radu Rostas, 24, was charged with six burglaries. Rudi Rostas, 25 was charged with with one burglary, while Viorel Horvat, 22, was charged with criminal damage and two burglaries.

The three Rostas were granted bail. but the 16-year-old boy - an unaccompanied minor - was brought before the Children's Court charged with one burglary and remanded in custody

Two men have been already been charged in connection with the investigation. One person was released without charge.
