A number of food and drink companies owed money by Superquinn have said they could be facing cash flow difficulties within days.
Receivers have been appointed to the retailer, though a number of directors are reported to be planning an injunction to stop the receivership.
Hundreds of suppliers are owed money by Superquinn - with some of the amounts running into millions of euro.
Musgrave's - which wants to buy Superquinn from the receivers - is finalising plans for a scheme to help suppliers experiencing losses as a result of the receivership.
It says the scheme will give suppliers access to the Musgrave group's supply network to sell their goods, and will prioritise small distressed Irish companies.
Details are due to be published on the Musgrave website tomorrow.
Meanwhile unions representing the 2,800 staff at Superquinn support the planned sale of the company by the receivers to the Musgrave group.
They also say they are worried about the impact on staff of the continuing uncertainty about the future ownership of the company.
The Mandate trade union - which represents the majority of workers - says it is taking legal advice tomorrow, to decide whether to make a formal separate representation on behalf of staff in the court proceedings this week.
