Police in Northern Ireland are investigating an attack on the office of Alliance Party leader and Northern Ireland Justice Minister David Ford.

Liquid was poured on to the building at Carnmoney Road, Glengormley, and set on fire overnight.

The office, which was empty at the time, suffered scorch damage.

Mr Ford has condemned the attack and said he has no indication at this stage who was responsible.

The minister added that the incident would not put him or his staff off from doing their work representing constituents.

Police in Newtownabbey have appealed for witnesses.
