Convicted double murderer and former dentist Colin Howell has pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecently assaulting female patients who attended his dental surgery in Ballymoney.
The 52-year-old was due to go on trial for the offences at Antrim Crown Court today.
Howell, from Castlerock in Derry, is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of his wife and his former lover's husband 20 years ago.
He has now pleaded guilty to a total of 12 charges of indecent assault involving five women over a ten-year period between March 1998 and December 2008.
Last October, the father of ten admitted three charges involving three patients sexually abused at his clinic in Ballymoney on various dates between July and December of 2008.
He was due to stand trial on further sex charges, but at the opening of the case this morning he admitted to nine counts of indecent assault.
He pleaded guilty and then whispered 'and I am sorry'.
Five outstanding charges will remain on the books.
Howell is already serving 21 years in prison after pleaded guilty to the double murder of his wife and his then lover's husband in 1991.
The deaths of Lesley Howell and Trevor Buchanan were staged to look as though they had taken their own lives.
