Gardaí are still questioning a man in relation to the suspicious death of another man in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, last night.
37-year-old Patrick ‘Paddy’ Connors died after what is believed was a fight in an apartment.
Garda forensic teams worked throughout the afternoon at the still-cordoned off apartment block in Templeshannon, Enniscorthy.
A full post mortem examination on the body of Patrick Connors has yet to take place, but gardaí believe he suffered a number of blows at some time last night.
He was found at the foot of a stairs in the apartment this morning after a man rang the local garda station.
That man, who is also in his late 30s and from Enniscorthy, was arrested and is being questioned about what happened last night between the two men.
Nobody else is being sought in connection with the death.
Mr Connors lived not far from the apartment and was a father of two young girls, one of whom is due to make her communion in the coming weeks.
