Two men have died and six people have been injured in a crash near Carrickmacross in Co Monaghan.
The three-vehicle collision happened shortly before 7pm this evening on the N2 Carrickmacross to Ardee road, about 3km outside Carrickmacross.
Four people, three men and one woman, are in a serious condition at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
Another man and woman received minor injuries.
Two children were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
The road is likely to remain closed until tomorrow morning.
