A Garda investigation is under way into a traffic collision in which a man in his 60s was killed.
It happened at about 7.30am on the N9 at Killinane, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow.
Gardaí said the man who died was the driver of one of the cars in the two-car crash.
The female driver and a passenger in the other car were taken to hospital in Kilkenny.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the crash. In particular they would like to talk to a man in a dark tracksuit, who was walking or jogging in the area around the time of the crash.
