Two men have been arrested after a taxi driver was kidnapped as part of an armed robbery in central Dublin.
The male taxi driver was held up at gunpoint at around 10am and forced in the boot of his car.
Armed raiders then drove the taxi to Prussia Street in Stoneybatter where they waited in the car until a cash delivery van arrived at the local post office.
An armed man then held up the security man and took the cash box.
A short time later the taxi was found nearby in Queen Street.
In a follow-up operation two men were arrested and the cashbox and a firearm were recovered.
There were no shots fired during the incident and no-one was injured.
Two men in their 30s are being questioned at Bridewell Garda Station.
