A teenage girl has died after being involved in a road accident in Dublin.
It is understood she was struck by a 4x4 vehicle while walking on the N3 road between Mulhuddart and Blanchardstown shortly after 9pm last night.
She was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
A section of inbound carriageway was closed for a time but has since reopened.
Gardaí have appealed to witnesses to contact them.
