Two men have died in separate road crashes in Carlow and Armagh.

Yesterday evening, a man died in a road crash in Co Carlow.

The 41-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car near Ballymurphy at around 6pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three others were taken to St Luke's General Hospital Kilkenny.

The road has re-opened following a forensic examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Separately, a 25-year-old man has died in a road accident in Co Armagh.

He was the driver of a 4x4 vehicle, which collided with a truck near Middletown on the main road to Monaghan.
