Two men arrested in connection with the murder of Kevin McDaid in Coleraine in May have been freed without charge in Northern Ireland.

The 60-year-old and 35-year-old were released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The two, who were detained in the town, were also quizzed about the attempted murder of Mr McDaid's neighbour, Damien Fleming.

Mr McDaid and Mr Fleming, both Catholics, were attacked by a group of people in the Heights area of Coleraine.

Ten people have so far been charged in connection with the attack, six charged with murdering Mr McDaid.
