An air and sea search will resume in the morning off the Co Cork coast for a father and his 13-year-old son who went missing on Sunday.
The 44-year-old Polish man had been working as a baker in Kenmare for about two years.
His wife and only child remained in Poland and the boy was on a holiday to visit to his father.
On Sunday morning the pair went fishing first near Kenmare.
They then moved on to Castletownbere and then to Cod's Head where fishing gear and rods were found this afternoon.
A car has also been located in the area.
Valentia Coastguard's John Falvey said gardaí and the emergency services were only alerted about their disappearance this morning.
Conditions in the Cod's Head area on Sunday were described as windy, with strong gusts and high seas.
Cod's Head is a rugged, rocky area of the coastline where tidal conditions can be treacherous.
The search, which is being concentrated between Allihies and Eyeries, has been called off for the night.
