An Irish couple have been killed in a road crash in Iowa in the US.
Joe O'Connell, 50, from the Causeway area of Co Kerry, and his 44-year-old wife Anne Coleman, from Abbeyknockmoy in Co Galway, died in the crash on Sunday night.
The couple's three children, aged between 10 and 15, were injured in what Iowa state police have said was a single-vehicle incident, about 250km west of Chicago, Illinois.
The family had emigrated to the US and were living in Madison, Wisconsin.
It is understood they were on holiday and travelling to the west coast when the accident occurred.
The couple had been prominently involved in the GAA in their native counties.
