Gardaí in Finglas are investigating an incident in which a man was repeatedly stabbed with a sword.
An ambulance from Dublin Fire Brigade was called to Dunsink Drive, Finglas South at around 3.20am this morning.
The man, who had reportedly been stabbed six times in the chest, was brought to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment.
