Twin sisters injured in Armagh crash

A ten-year-old girl is in critical condition in hospital following a road crash near Tandragee in Co Armagh.

Her twin sister and their 38-year-old mother 38 are in a serious condition.

They were in a blue Ford Focus car, which was in collision with a truck on the Portadown Road shortly before 5pm yesterday.

The girls' three-year-old brother also suffered injuries in the crash but they are not life-threatening.

The truck driver was also treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses and are trying to contact the driver of a white van believed to have been in the area at the time.

In Co Down, an 18 year-old man was critically injured in a crash on the Dublin Road in Castlewellan around midnight.

He was a passenger in a light blue coloured Peugeot car. A 17-year-old passenger received injuries but they are not life-threatening.

The PSNI has asked anyone with information to come forward.
