A man has died following a road traffic accident in Castlerock, Co Derry.

The 21-year-old was killed after the car he was travelling in crashed in the Ballyhacket Lane area yesterday.

A 17-year-old man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Separately, a 21-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital following a road collision in Co Tyrone last night.

The single-vehicle accident happened near the border village of Aughnacloy on the main Dublin to Derry road.
