A man and a woman have been killed in two separate road crashes in counties Cork and Down
In Cork, a man was killed after a car and a van collided in Berrings at around 7.30am this morning.
He was Michael Moynihan of Berrings, aged 33, and was the driver of the van. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Cork University Hospital.
Another man remains in hospital.
Separately, a woman died as a result of a road accident involving a 4x4 vehicle and a trailer in Co Down.
The collision occurred on the Ballynagappoge Road, Rathfriland.
