A man has been injured in a shooting in Dublin city centre tonight.

The shooting happened shortly before 10pm in a pub on Dean Street.

The man, who is in his 20s, was shot a number of times after a gunman walked into Grumpy Jack's pub.

The gunman is believed to have made his escape on a motorbike.

The man was taken to St James’s Hospital where his injuries are said to not be life threatening.

Gardaí are interviewing witnesses in the pub and are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity to come forward.
