Gardaí investigating the murder of a 35-year-old man in Dublin last night believe he may have been lured to his death.
Michael Hendrick was shot a number of times by a lone gunman at Melrose Park in Clondalkin as he sat in his car.
The father of two, who is originally from Alpine Heights in Clondalkin, was living on the northside of the city.
Another man sitting in the car at the time escaped injury.
Gardaí say they have yet to establish a motive for the murder and are following several lines of inquiry.
Mr Hendrick was a convicted drug dealer who had links to criminal gangs in Limerick and Dublin.
