The three teenagers who died in a road traffic accident outside Nenagh on New Year's Eve are being waked at their homes today.

Separate funerals take place in three parishes in north Tipperary tomorrow.

Two other teenagers, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl who were injured in the accident, are in a stable condition in hospital.

The remains of 16-year-old Paraic Bourke and 17-year-old Adrian O'Brien returned home to their families yesterday, while 14-year-old Stuart Donnellan's remains returned home to his family today.

Stuart Donnellan's funeral will take place in Nenagh at 11am tomorrow, Adrian O'Brien's at 12pm at Youghlara Church in Newtown, and Paraic Bourke's in Silvermines at 1.30pm.

St Joseph's CBS in Nenagh, which was attended by Paraic Bourke, is to hold a special memorial Mass over the coming days.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio's Morning Ireland, the school's principal, Danny Grace, said counselling services are available to any of their pupils affected by the traumatic news.

Nenagh Parish Priest Fr Pat Malone says there is much sadness in the locality.
