A 23-year-old man is being questioned in connection with the death of a retired barman in Cork city last weekend.
The man was arrested after walking into the Bridewell Garda Station in Cork just before 11 pm last night.
He is been held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned for 24 hours.
Retired barman Donal Manley, 62, was found in a downstairs room at his home on Sunday evening.
He died of head injuries.
