Carlow syndicate wins €19m LottoTuesday 01 July 2008 13.07
A syndicate of workers at Dan Morrissey Ireland Limited in Bennekerry, Co Carlow, have won Ireland's biggest lotto jackpot.
The 15 men and one woman in the syndicate will each receive approximately €1.18m.
The syndicate is based in the garage section at the concrete products plant in Bennekerry.
A number of the winning syndicate members are related to each other, with two sets of brothers, a father and son, and a father and daughter all sharing in the big prize.
The ticket was bought on 25 June in Hickson's Centra on the Staplestown Road.
The winning ticket was a €32 multi-draw quickpick with Lotto Plus.
